About The Position

As a Pharmacy Claims Analyst 2, you will support critical processes to ensure accuracy and compliance for pharmacy point-of-sale processing, specifically related to Prescriber requirements and error override logic when a disaster has been declared by a state or federal government agency. You will work closely with the Senior Pharmacy Claims Professionals who own those processes and collaborate on cross-collaborative project teams with internal and external partners to support them. The role involves ensuring processes are documented, reviewed for appropriateness and compliance, and monitored regularly. You will make decisions regarding your own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, requiring minimal direction and receiving guidance where needed, while following established guidelines and procedures.

Requirements

  • 1 - 5 years of data analysis & problem-solving skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to tailor communication to the audience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and follow-up timely manner
  • Strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Previous experience with pharmacy benefits management
  • Project testing, including building scenarios
  • Pharmacy claims experience
  • Knowledge/experience working with SQL (via MS SQL Server, Oracle, PL/SQL, or other)

Responsibilities

  • Support critical processes to ensure accuracy and compliance for pharmacy point-of-sale processing as it relates to Prescriber requirements and error override logic when a disaster has been declared by a state or federal government agency.
  • Work closely with the Senior Pharmacy Claims Professionals who own those processes.
  • Work on cross-collaborative project teams, with internal and external partners, to support the Senior Pharmacy Claims Professionals.
  • Ensure processes are documented, reviewed for appropriateness and compliance, and monitored regularly.
  • Make decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.
  • Follow established guidelines/procedures.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy prescriber logic and end-to-end processes.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy disaster logic and implementation of disasters in claims processing system on a day-to-day basis.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for prescriber claims processing and upstream prescriber processes.
  • Review daily, weekly, and monthly auditing to determine additional actions based on audit results.
  • Create, update, and maintain reports and policy/procedure documents.
  • Collaborate on projects with internal/external areas related to required process or logic changes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
