About The Position

The Pharmacy Cashier at Walgreens is responsible for delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience while efficiently managing sales transactions. This role involves engaging with customers, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. The cashier will also assist with operational tasks, including managing cash registers, maintaining store cleanliness, and adhering to company policies.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.

• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Models and shares customer service best practices with team members.
• Registers customer purchases on assigned cash register and processes transactions efficiently.
• Recommends items for sale and assists customers with OTC products.
• Operates pharmacy systems to obtain patient prescription status and reports errors to the pharmacist.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, and takes inventory as needed.
• Implements asset protection procedures to minimize profit loss.
• Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
• Constructs and maintains promotional displays and completes resets as directed.
• Assists with store maintenance to ensure a neat and orderly appearance.
• Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
