About The Position

The Pharmacy Cashier at Lynn's Pharmacy is responsible for managing all customer transactions accurately and efficiently. This role involves handling payments, issuing receipts, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and service. The cashier will also assist in maintaining the checkout area and handling customer inquiries related to prescriptions and store policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 years of customer service experience
• Pharmacy Technician License (preferred)
• 1 year of pharmacy technician experience (preferred)
• Basic PC knowledge
• Good math skills
• Strong communication skills
• Time management skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role in sales
• Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS
• Ability to multi-task

Responsibilities

• Manage transactions with customers using cash registers
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
• Collect payments whether in cash or credit
• Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
• Greet customers when entering or leaving the store
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout area
• Handle merchandise returns and exchanges
• Bag finished prescriptions
• Verify patient information
• Answer phones
• Maintain front end of store
