About The Position

We are seeking a strategic and analytically driven Pharmacy Business & Contract Analyst to support revenue optimization, payer relationships, and contract performance across the health system’s pharmacy services. This role serves as a key liaison between pharmacy operations, payers, and leadership—driving data-informed decision-making and ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. The Pharmacy Business & Contract Analyst is responsible for managing pharmacy-related contracts, supporting revenue cycle performance, and delivering actionable insights through financial and operational analysis. This role plays a critical part in identifying opportunities to enhance reimbursement, improve efficiency, and strengthen payer performance across the organization.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Registered Pharmacist with equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmacy practice experience
  • Current licensure as a Pharmacist in the State of Missouri

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Health Administration, Health Informatics, Accounting, or related field
  • Experience in pharmacy, insurance, or healthcare business environments involving contracts and third-party payers
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and reimbursement practices
  • Familiarity with electronic claims processing and revenue cycle operations
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with attention to detail
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support pharmacy contracting activities, ensuring compliance with payer requirements and internal policies
  • Analyze payer performance, reimbursement trends, and contract compliance to identify risks and opportunities
  • Conduct financial audits and business analyses to support revenue integrity and operational efficiency
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for pharmacy-related payer inquiries, issue resolution, and relationship management
  • Maintain provider manuals, payer databases, and contract documentation (paper and electronic)
  • Develop, prepare, and maintain data analytics and reporting tools for leadership and operational teams
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements, workflow optimization, and revenue enhancement
  • Support training and education related to contracts, reimbursement, and billing practices
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including HIPAA and government payer requirements
