About The Position

PanCare of Florida is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Associate to join our pharmacy team in Blountstown, Florida. In this role, you will support the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy services by assisting pharmacists with medication preparation, inventory management, and customer service. Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling and data entry
  • Clear and professional communication skills with patients and staff
  • Basic knowledge of medications, dosages, and pharmacy terminology
  • Ability to perform basic math for measurements and dosage calculations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Problem-solving ability to resolve customer or prescription issues
  • Understanding of pharmacy regulations, safety protocols, and HIPAA requirements
  • Ability to adapt to changing workflows and technology
  • Commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or Pharmacy Technician certification
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients with prescription pick-up, over-the-counter products, and general medication inquiries under pharmacist direction
  • Assist with the preparation, labeling, and organization of prescription orders to ensure accuracy
  • Accurately enter patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system
  • Maintain detailed and confidential patient and medication records
  • Monitor inventory levels, assist with medication ordering, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals
  • Remove expired medications and assist with proper disposal in accordance with policy and regulations
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, safety standards, and HIPAA confidentiality requirements
  • Answer phone calls and assist with customer inquiries and administrative tasks (filing, faxing, data entry)
  • Work collaboratively with pharmacists and healthcare staff to support efficient pharmacy operations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy workspace
