Pharmacy Assistant - CoverMyMeds LLC Job Summary: CoverMyMeds LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Pharmacy Assistant to support our pharmacy operations. This role involves assisting pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in various tasks to ensure efficient prescription processing and exceptional patient care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a pharmacy setting (retail, hospital, or long-term care) preferred.
  • Basic understanding of pharmaceutical terminology and medication names is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with prescription intake, data entry, and labeling.
  • Manage inventory, including stocking shelves, organizing medications, and monitoring expiration dates.
  • Process prescription refills and communicate with prescribers' offices for clarification or authorization.
  • Prepare and package medications for dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Answer phone calls, address patient inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, record-keeping, and generating reports.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and supportive experience for all patients.
  • Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality.
