Requirements

Completion of high school diploma or equivalent required.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)
Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
Act 33 with renewal
Act 34 with renewal
Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal

Responsibilities

Communicate with hospital personnel, patients, and visitors; refer drug info to Staff Pharmacists.
Finalize sales; follow cash handling policies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked work environment.
Ensure safe storage of medications per regulations.
Keep documentation (eye wash logs, refrigerator logs, inventory logs, etc.).
Comply with laws (HIPAA, OSHA) and PBM requirements (FWA, CMS).
Practice hand hygiene.
Use computer skills for patient records.
Distribute medications (cassettes, emergency carts, controlled substances).
Return discontinued medications to the pharmacy.
Maintain positive service relationships during distribution.
Prepare oral medications correctly and timely.
Fill medication orders with proper labeling, counting, and stocking; initial and date products.
