Performs physical, technical and clerical duties necessary to support pharmacy operations in a fast paced environment. Duties include packaging medications and supplies for delivery, testing and cleaning equipment, clerical tasks, and various other duties under the supervision of (a) registered pharmacist(s). Job Description: EDUCATION: HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 1 year recent relevant experience SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Familiarity with MS Office application preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and drug nomenclature desirable. Self-starter with a high degree of initiative, motivation, flexibility, energy and creativity. Ability to form harmonious working relationships with internal and external customers. Collaborative and problem solving skills with customers and management. Organizational skills. Must be able to handle sensitive issues, conflict with or among others, respectively direct and reinforce staff efforts; effectively plan and organize and prioritize work, and to effectively solve unique problems as they arise or identify when to consult supervisor. Must be able to deal with a challenging work environment from time demands and conflicting priorities. Maintain a positive and professional image and demonstrate self-directed learning to meet professional development and/or license requirements. At orientation and annually thereafter, must be able to meet core competencies for position and area of specialty, as appropriate. Ability to be aware of surroundings and respond to emergency and/or urgent events. Must be detail-oriented. Ability to communicate with possibly disoriented, combative patients. Ability to work in mentally and physically demanding environment. Pay Range is $26.55 to $34.51 / hour The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
