About The Position

Assists pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications to patients; interacts with patients providing information and education on their prescriptions through completion of sales transactions. Pharmacy Assistant salary range: $17-$19.50 DOE with ability to go higher for highly experienced candidates.

Requirements

  • Possesses a basic level of written and verbal communication skills, computational and computer skills and mathematical knowledge typically acquired through completion of a high school program.
  • Ability to possess an active Pharmacy Assistant License from the State of Washington.
  • Job duties require the effective communication of information during informal and formal verbal presentations.
  • Job duties require the effective communication of information in written (including electronic) correspondence.
  • Possesses the ability to successfully form, foster, and improve relationships with members of a culture different from one’s own.
  • Communicates in a clear and effective manner.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and translating both English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for dispending medication to patients.
  • Responsible for maintaining cash drawer and associated documents according to CBHA cash handling guidelines.
  • Responsible for proper handling and storage of medication.
  • Responsible for processing medication refill requests.
  • Responsible for daily administrative and clerical support.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Promotes a positive work culture and upholds clinic policies and procedures, including the WE CARE Standards of Behavior.
  • Must uphold confidentiality at all times in regards to CBHA activities, reports, financials, patient health information and other proprietary information specific to CBHA.

  • 403 (b) Retirement Plan:
  • Safe Harbor Match: Employees are eligible to receive a Safe Harbor Match of 100% up to 4% of the employee’s total salary. Employee is full vested in Safe Harbor Match from day 1. Contributions are subject to IRS guidelines.
  • Non-Elective Contribution- Provided the employee has met enrollment qualifications, employee will also receive 4% employer contribution of employee’s total salary at the end of the Plan Year at the discretion of Board of Directors.
  • Vacation (Personal Leave):
  • Year 1
  • 40 hours front loaded after six (6) months of employment. Accrue at the rate of .0038per hour paid not to exceed a per pay period accrual of .3076 hours for the rest of year one (1). Vacation buyout paid hours are excluded from accrual
  • Year 2
  • Accrue at the rate of .0442 per hour paid not to exceed a per pay period accrual of 3.53hours. Vacation buyout paid hours are excluded from accrual.
  • Year 3
  • Accrue at the rate of .5576 per hour paid not to exceed a per pay period accrual of 4.46 hours. Vacation buyout paid hours
  • All employees receive 8 vacation hours for a Wellness Day on their Anniversary Date each year.
