The Pharmacy Agent is responsible for one-on-one interaction with patients from the time they walk in the store to the time they leave with their purchase and will provide excellent customer service while making the patient feel empowered and confident in their decision. The Forest is hiring for part-time positions 20-27 hours per week. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Using the ICS, verify the status of an individual's medical cannabis card and dosage parameters in a patient recommendation.
  • Using MJ Freeway and the EVS, verify days supply available when checking patient or caregiver in, when recommending a medication to avoid over administering medication, and at check out to make sure they are not being oversold.
  • Adhere to any doctors' notes in the system for dosing, medication type, and administration of medication.
  • Confirm medication pulled matches the medication entered into the POS by checking product labels against the patients' cart.
  • Accurately process cardholder payments including issuance of receipts, refunds, credits, and cash.
  • Assist the cardholder with understanding available products, proper use of a medical device, medical cannabis strains and methods of approved consumption or application, within the dosage parameters specified by a QMP or PMP.
  • Assist with dispensing of product to cardholders.
  • Assist with maintaining a safe, clean, and professional environment.
  • Authorize entry of a cardholder into the cardholder counseling area.
  • Enter and retrieve information from the ICS.
  • Prepare inventories of medical cannabis and medical cannabis devices.
  • Prepare labels.
  • Retrieve medical cannabis and medical cannabis devices from inventory.
  • Verbally offer to a cardholder the opportunity for counseling with a PMP regarding medical cannabis or a medical cannabis device.
  • View medical treatment and medication history in the EVS.
  • Make certain all labeling requirements are completed at check out.
  • Assist patients in person and by phone with inquiries and concerns.
  • Adheres to and educates patients on Utah laws and regulations as it relates to the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food guidelines including methods of consumption and administration.
  • Assist in daily inventory of cannabis and non-cannabis inventory.
  • Responsible for communicating any activity or observations that are out of the ordinary.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable state and local laws through all stages of the sale of medical cannabis.
  • Provide support to the General Manager, as requested, to ensure daily operations of the Pharmacy run smoothly, properly, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a high school diploma, or the equivalent.
  • Must be able to pass all background check requirements and obtain licensing as set forth by UDAF.
  • Must be able to work opening, closing, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Retail or hospitality experience, preferred.
