Sentara is hiring a Pharmacy 340B Inventory Planner at Norfolk General Hospital Location: Norfolk General Hospital Status: Full Time (40 hrs/wk) Shift: Days Hours: 8am-430pm Weekends: Will require 2-3 hours on Sunday to place order (done remote) Performs the inventory management responsibilities for the pharmacy under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner. Demonstrates advanced specialized skills and ownership for all pharmacy buyer functions and obtains advanced training and/or certification in their area of practice. Demonstrates advanced technical skills and ownership of the work area Demonstrates the ability to competently work independently Assumes local and/or system responsibility for assigned tasks Participates in the training of new employees Provides peer coaching and constructive feedback to other colleagues in a professional and productive manner Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner Ensures adequate supplies and medications are available for continuous patient care Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed. Uses appropriate systems for processing patient and financial information Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately Training in advanced Pharmacy Inventory job functions In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
