About The Position

The Pharmacist at KPH Healthcare Services, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Pharmacy department, ensuring adherence to the HealthDirect Standard of Practice, and providing high-quality healthcare services to customers in Long-Term Care facilities. This role involves managing pharmacy inventory, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining professional relationships with healthcare providers.

Requirements

  • BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy.
  • Valid State License and current registration to practice Pharmacy.
  • Ability to stand/walk throughout the majority of the shift.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment and/or random drug screening test.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Long-Term Care pharmacy services.
  • Familiarity with third-party claims processing.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescriptions following the HealthDirect Standard of Practice.
  • Perform quality assurance steps to ensure accurate prescriptions are dispensed.
  • Report dispensing incidents in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Oversee the submission and collection of third-party claims.
  • Manage and balance pharmacy inventory to meet customer needs.
  • Maintain prescription files and records according to state and federal guidelines.
  • Exhibit outstanding customer service at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with loss prevention policies and report deviations.
  • Maintain a clean and professional pharmacy environment.
  • Develop professional relationships with healthcare providers.
  • Stay updated on developments in Pharmacy and Health Care Services.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Facilitate communication between pharmacy personnel and professional staff.
  • Participate in on-call schedule as needed.
  • Assist in hiring practices, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions for pharmacy staff.
  • Perform clinical functions to support consultant pharmacists and maintain compliance.
  • Meet or exceed budgetary sales guidelines for the pharmacy.
  • Interface with auditors and outside agencies as needed.
  • Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
