  • Accurately prepare, verify, and dispense medications in accordance with physician orders and regulatory guidelines.
  • Review medication orders for accuracy, interactions, contraindications, and proper dosing.
  • Provide clinical consultation and education to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor patient medication profiles and adjust therapy as needed to optimize outcomes.
  • Participate in formulary management, medication reconciliation, and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and hospital regulations, including controlled substance management.
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and interns in daily operations.
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety programs.
  • Maintain knowledge of new drugs, therapies, and best practices in pharmaceutical care.
  • Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy required.
  • Licensure: Current and active Mississippi Pharmacist license in good standing required.
  • Experience: Hospital or clinical pharmacy experience preferred. New graduates with strong clinical rotations encouraged to apply.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to patient safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
