About The Position

Provides patient care activities including patient rounds with physicians, patient monitoring, basic pharmacokinetics, drug utilization evaluation and participates in the department performance improvement program. Also, assists in providing drug information services of the department and education of the pharmacy staff, other health care professionals and community in regard to drug related topics. Performs duties in support of the Health System mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner. Job Description Qualifications: The incumbent must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job. Authorized or qualified for authorization as a preceptor of student interns in Pharmacy as described by the State Board of Pharmacy; membership in both State and national hospital pharmacy organizations; demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills. Education: Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (PharmD) Experience: Clinical experience as a pharmacist in an acute care setting and completion of a general or specialized residency is also preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration Requirements: Current licensure in the state of Pennsylvania.
