About The Position

The Pharmacist dispenses medications ensuring that the right drug, the right dose, the right directions, the right refills, the right doctor, and the right precautions are indicated on each prescription label. The Pharmacist is an important information resource to patients, providers, and staff and interacts in a courteous, professional manner at all times. The Pharmacist maintains appropriate documentation and meets all state and federal standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Pharm D degree.
• Experience with computer systems.
• Pharmacist license awarded by applicable state or eligibility for applicable state pharmacist licensure that must be obtained within three months of hire.
• Completion of a course of study and training in administration technique conducted by a course provider approved by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education or the board within one year of hire
• Employee may not at any time have been or be excluded from participation in any federally funded program, including Medicare and Medicaid. This is a condition of employment. Employee must immediately notify his/her manager or the Health System's Compliance Officer if he/she is threatened with exclusion or becomes excluded from any federally funded program

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of third party reimbursement plans.
• Experience in a specialty pharmacy based position.
• Board certification through the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties within two years' of hire.
