Pharmacists will collaborate within the department to enhance departmental operations and clinical programs. Staff may participate in departmental committees and in the provision of education. This position will require employees to work weekends, any required evenings, and holidays. The amount of time allocated to operations and clinical services will depend upon staffing and overall pharmacy workload.

  • Provides accurate medication order-entry, drug distribution, and patient care. Confirms the appropriateness of drug therapy as it relates to the care of neonates , pediatrics, adolescents , adults and geriatrics. Seeks to minimize turnaround time for products and services. - 55%
  • Provides concise, applicable, timely responses to requests for drug information. - 10%
  • Supervises pharmacy support personnel; checks and verifies the accuracy of all tasks performed. Staff may also function as a lead pharmacist within the department to monitor workload and workflow. - 10%
  • Provides lab review, clinical services, patient education, and corresponding documentation via the departmental clinical initiatives. - 15%
  • Provides experiential education and training for technicians, students and new employees. - 5%
  • Represents the department in its collaborative effort to integrate pharmaceuctical care throughout the patients continuum of care. - 5%
  • Bachelor's Degree - BS or PharmD degree
  • No previous experience required
  • South Carolina Pharmacist License
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Data Entry
  • Math Skills
