About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist with demonstrated knowledge working in a hospital setting. Must have Critical Care pharmacy experience. This position will support our Germantown Hospital location. Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Health. Must have demonstrated Hospital Critical Care experience General Summary: Interprets and evaluates physician orders in order to prepare and dispense appropriate medications to patients at Holy Cross Health for the Pharmacy Department Manages drug therapy of patients. Reviews, accesses and maintains patient medication records and profiles for allergies, drug interactions and therapeutic duplication to provide a consistent quality of patient care and appropriate drug therapy. Provides information to physicians, nurses, and patients. May assist in developing competencies for the department. Assists in the supervision of pharmacy technicians in distributive functions and departmental operations under the direction of the pharmacy operations manager and director of pharmacy. Performance demonstrates efforts to improve patient satisfaction, lower costs and improve quality.

Requirements

  • Must have demonstrated Hospital Critical Care experience
  • Active Maryland Pharmacy Licensure
  • Active BLS and ACLS Certification
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Current licensure from the Maryland State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Able to communicate effectively, speak, write and comprehend English.
  • Able to work cooperatively with hospital and pharmacy staff in order to meet departmental objectives.
  • Must be able to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Residency Training Highly Preferred
  • Knowledge of software: Word, Excel, Power Point; ASHP accredited residency, membership in ASHP, MSHP, MPhS, and WMSHP.
