About The Position
Baptist Health is currently looking for a Pharmacist to join our team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville! This is a full time, evening shift opportunity with 7-on/ 7-off schedule at our beautiful campus in downtown Jacksonville. The working hours for this position are 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM. This Pharmacist will be working in the central pharmacy checking patient orders, authorizations, and dispensing medications. This Pharmacist will be supervising technicians and consulting with other medical staff on medication and regimens. This is an opportunity to do hybrid functions within the central pharmacy and gain clinical experience.
Requirements
- A Pharmacist license within the State of Florida is required.
- In-Patient Hospital Pharmacy Experience is required.
Nice To Haves
- PGY1 Residency is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Entering orders with great accuracy.
- Checking technician work for accuracy prior to release of medications and solutions to the floor.
- Supervising technicians and serving on committees as assigned.
- Answering questions for all health care professionals.
- Serving as a consultant for members of the medical staff.
- Monitoring patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics services.
