About The Position

We are currently seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, and patient-centered Pharmacist. Pharmacy Hours: M-F open til 5pm; Sat & Sun open til 3pm Position is 4 days a week. This is a full time position working 4 days a week, including a weekend rotation. The ideal candidate must possess an active Pharmacist license, inpatient hospital, clinical, or long term care experience preferred, but not required. Summary/Objective The staff pharmacist is responsible for day-to-day pharmacy operations while providing quality pharmaceutical care to patients and IMH team members. Iroquois Memorial Hospital is a 25 bed hospital located in Watseka, Illinois. The hospital facility is comprised of clinical and diagnostic services which are dedicated to providing high quality health care services to the community. These services include but are not limited to an Emergency Room, full service OR suites, an inpatient care unit, therapy services, advanced medical imaging, Home Health, and Hospice Care. The hospital operates rural health clinics in Watseka, IL, Gilman, IL, Milford, IL, and Kentland, IN. The hospital also operates a skilled nursing facility, Iroquois Resident Home, which is attached to the hospital property.

Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Passed the National Association Board of Pharmacy examination.
  • State of Illinois Registered Pharmacist license required.

Nice To Haves

  • inpatient hospital, clinical, or long term care experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Enters prescription through GuardianRx.
  • Verifies all prescriptions and orders in GuardianRx
  • Verifies all hospital orders in Athena.
  • Oversees pharmacy technicians in their job duties.
  • Provides drug information to medical staff.
  • Assists IV admixtures and compounds chemo admixtures
  • Operates pharmacy department within the guidelines set by Illinois State Board of Pharmacy, Illinois Pharmacy Practice Act, Federal DEA regulations and Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
  • Provides consultation to patients.
