About The Position

Staff Pharmacist - Southern Float Gene Wright Community Health Center 441 East 8th Street, Lima, OH 45804 8 hours shift, must be willing to work 12 hour shifts as needed. Primarily based in Lima, OH but must be willing to travel to our sites in Bryan, Kenton, New Carlisle, Toledo, and Tiffin, Ohio as needed. We’re led by a volunteer Board of Directors. Most of our board members are also patients. Our Mission is to eliminate gaps in health outcomes for all members of our community by providing access to quality, affordable, preventive and primary health care. Join our Team! This position will practice within the scope defined by the Ohio professional licensing board. By utilizing their pharmacy license, the Pharmacist will work with patients, providers, and other members of the health care team to provide patients with appropriate and beneficial comprehensive pharmacy services. (applicable positions only) FTCA Malpractice Coverage QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Degree from an accredited school of pharmacy and current Pharmacy License in the State of Ohio. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Successful completion of in-house training. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: SKILLS/ABILITIES : Current License in good standing with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy. Ability to act as a preceptor for pharmacy students. CPR – BLS (basic life support) required. Professional demeanor. Ability to respect confidentiality of patient data. Strong communication skills. Knowledge of insurance and third-party payment systems preferred. Ability to work as a team member. Computer experience. Must be willing to work flexible hours as required by position. Ability to work with a culturally diverse group of people. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is primarily sedentary, demanding sitting, walking, lifting, and bending. Those physical movements and the degree of mobility, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination commonly associated with duties in an office setting will be performed repetitively. This also includes bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, pulling, pushing, and walking. The ability to distinguish letters and symbols and utilize telephones, computer terminals, fax machines, and copiers is required. The work environment characteristics described here represent those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Requirements

  • Degree from an accredited school of pharmacy and current Pharmacy License in the State of Ohio.
