About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Pharmacist for an exciting job in Elmhurst, NY.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (or higher)
- Active and valid Pharmacist license issued by the New York State Education Department (Primary Source Verification required)
- Minimum of one (1) year of Pharmacist experience
- Strong knowledge of inpatient pharmacy operations
- Ability to work every weekend schedule
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with pharmacy dispensing systems
- Sterile compounding and IV room experience
- Experience in acute inpatient hospital settings
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), preferably EPIC
Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and dispense medications in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies
- Provide clinical pharmacy services in acute inpatient, ED, and psychiatric settings
- Monitor patient medication therapy for safety, effectiveness, and appropriateness
- Prepare and verify sterile compounded products, including IV admixtures
- Ensure compliance with New York State and federal pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Utilize EMR systems (EPIC) for order verification and documentation
- Provide drug information and consultation to medical staff
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians as needed
- Participate in quality assurance and medication safety initiatives
