About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BS) or Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.) in Pharmacy.
• Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (e.g., APhA).

Responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled by completing Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance.
• Build profitable business and script growth through recommended clinical programs including immunization and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
• Align performance objectives to the 7 key department metrics for effectiveness and efficiencies.
• Assist the pharmacy manager in controlling inventories and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand.
• Provide excellent customer service and healthcare counseling to customers.
• Supervise the work of Pharmacy Technicians and support staff.
• Assume management responsibility over the pharmacy in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager.
• Maintain open communication with operations and pharmacy management.
• Ensure appropriate security of the Pharmacy department.
• Handle and resolve customer issues and complaints to build trust and loyalty.
• Interact with physicians to gain information on customers and prescriptions.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and order of the Pharmacy department.
• Prioritize and complete Pharmacy Department tasks in a timely manner.
