Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree Program in Pharmacy is required, PharmD preferred.
  • Must be a Registered Pharmacist licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hospital and retail experience is preferred.
  • Extensive consultation, education, and/or Medication Therapy Management experience is preferred, as well as a working knowledge of formularies and Third Party billing practices.
  • Advanced course work in disease state management is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Under direction of the Retail Pharmacy Manager or Designee, perform a variety of professional services and responsibilities related to the clinical review and facilitation of outpatient drug therapy to promote adherence and access post-discharge.
  • Keep current with computer applications and pertinent state and federal law/regulations.
  • Provide technical direction and supervision of assigned personnel including students.
  • Communicate with patients and other health care professionals to optimize medication therapy.
  • Track and report interventions.
  • One-on-one patient consultations including Wellness Clinic and home visits.
  • Perform, track and bill for MTM (Medication Therapy Management) services.
