About The Position

We are accepting applications for a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacology, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient care. The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing expert advice on their use, and ensuring the highest standards of pharmaceutical care.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid and active pharmacist license in Michigan.
  • 3 years of experience in a pharmacy setting preferred (not required). Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and pharmaceutical calculations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented, empathetic, and committed to providing exceptional patient care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently dispense prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide personalized consultation to patients regarding the proper use of medications, potential side effects, and interactions with other drugs or food.
  • Review and verify medication orders, ensuring appropriateness and safety. Monitor patient medication therapy and provide recommendations for modifications as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including medication history, allergies, and current treatments. Ensure compliance with legal and organizational documentation standards.
  • Work closely with healthcare providers to discuss and resolve medication-related issues. Collaborate with other pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Oversee inventory levels, including ordering and stocking medications. Ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical products.
  • Educate patients and their families about medication management, health conditions, and preventive care measures.
  • Adhere to all state and federal regulations, including maintaining confidentiality and following ethical practices.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs to ensure the highest standards of pharmaceutical care and safety.
