About The Position

The University of Florida's Student Health Care Center is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to provide exceptional pharmaceutical services to students in a dynamic outpatient setting. This role is crucial in supporting the healthcare needs of UF students, ensuring compliance with laws, dispensing medications, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Requirements

• Licensed as a pharmacist in accordance with Chapter 465, Florida Statutes.
• Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy with a Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

• Competence and experience with PCs including Windows and ideally including Kalos's Propharm® software.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpreting and processing prescriptions, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.
• Dispensing and compounding medications with precision and efficiency.
• Counseling patients on the proper use, storage, and potential interactions of prescription and over-the-counter medications.
• Providing technical and consultative services to medical staff and other healthcare departments.
• Supervising pharmacy interns, student assistants, and volunteers to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality policies.
• Collaborating with SHCC's interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
