About The Position
The Specialty Pharmacist plays a critical role in optimizing medication therapy for patients with complex, chronic, and high-cost conditions. This position supports outpatient specialty pharmacy services, ensuring safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication use through clinical review, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The pharmacist provides oversight of specialty medication workflows, including prior authorization, financial assistance coordination, and therapy monitoring. This role also supports compliance with accreditation standards and contributes to quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy - Required
- California Pharmacist License (RPh) in good standing - Required
- BLS Certification - Required
Nice To Haves
- PGY1 Residency - Preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty pharmacy or oncology - Preferred
- Board Certification or Advanced Practice Pharmacist (APh) - Preferred
