About The Position

Expectations: Supervises and coordinates the delivery of pharmaceutical care with specialty in Emergency Medicine to patients of the Emergency Department. Pharmaceutical care is the evaluation, distribution, and monitoring of prescribed therapy which provide positive patient outcomes. The Emergency Department Clinical Pharmacy Specialist is responsible for the provision of comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for the ED including emergency response within the ED (Codes). Maintains current California Pharmacist license. This position may require flexibility of hours. Requirements

  • Maintains current California Pharmacist license.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy preferred.
  • Diploma or transcripts on highest degree earned required.
  • Current unrestricted Registered Pharmacist license (RPH) issued by California State Board of Pharmacy
  • Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
  • Requires mobility to be able to respond quickly to emergent Code activations and to be able to transport the emergency pharmacy medication box.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a postgraduate residency specializing in Emergency Medicine and/or Critical Care is preferred.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Provider (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider (PALS) issued by American Heart Association
