Provides information to all patients, patient families and colleagues to promote optimal utilization of drugs. Coordinates the delivery of effective, safe, and cost-effective drug therapy to all patients. Conducts clinical and pharmacoeconomic research in support of the hospital's medical staffs and to improve drug therapy. Provides daily oversight of pharmacy technician activities.

  • Provide information to patients, families, and colleagues regarding drug utilization.
  • Coordinate the delivery of effective, safe, and cost-effective drug therapy.
  • Conduct clinical and pharmacoeconomic research to support medical staff.
  • Oversee pharmacy technician activities.
  • Graduate from a college/school of Pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) OR graduate from a foreign college of pharmacy with a five-year curriculum and passed the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Examination (FPGEE).
  • Licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Minnesota current or within three months of hire.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification current or within 3 months of hire.
  • Hospital clinical experience.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited institution.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Pediatric Residency.
  • Board Certified Pediatric Pharmacy Specialist (BCPPS).
  • Minnesota Board of Pharmacy preceptor license.
