About The Position

The purpose of a pharmacy residency is to develop the knowledge and skills needed to provide pharmaceutical care, including the provision of rational pharmacotherapy and the delivery of appropriate product related services to patients. This is only for those residents that matched to Intermountain' s Residency program 2026! Essential Functions Participate in training and experiential programs as assigned by residency program director. Prepare and dispense medication orders according to established policies, procedures, and protocols. Supervise and direct activities of interns, technicians, and support personnel as required. Ensure safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies for patients. Provide medication related clinical consultation and clarification to other health professionals. Develop and participate in activities designed to measure and improve the medication use process. Provide education and training to Pharmacy Department personnel as well as other health professionals. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines and requirements

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy (degree will be verified)
  • Obtains pharmacist licensure within the State where the residency program is located within the timeframe outlined in the Intermountain residency standards.
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers within 90 days of starting residency
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of starting residency.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of starting residency.
