The purpose of a pharmacy residency is to develop the knowledge and skills needed to provide pharmaceutical care, including the provision of rational pharmacotherapy and the delivery of appropriate product related services to patients. Essential Functions Participate in training and experiential programs as assigned by residency program director. Prepare and dispense medication orders according to established policies, procedures, and protocols. Supervise and direct activities of interns, technicians, and support personnel as required. Ensure safe, appropriate, cost-effective medication therapies for patients. Provide medication related clinical consultation and clarification to other health professionals. Develop and participate in activities designed to measure and improve the medication use process. Provide education and training to Pharmacy Department personnel as well as other health professionals. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines and requirements
