About The Position

Ensure appropriate dosing and verify compounded medications while upholding quality control and compliance according to Strive Pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Position Type: PRN with potential go to full-time depending on business needs in future

Requirements

• Minimum of Bachelor of Science (BS) in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Degree
• Active TX Pharmacist license

Nice To Haves

• Experience in compounding
• Understanding of aseptic technique
• Familiar with USP guidelines

Responsibilities

• Checking entered prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
• Performing calculations to ensure ingredients within a formula are measured and utilized properly
• Visually checking lots compounded in sterile and non-sterile labs
• Visually checking individual prescriptions to ensure color, consistency, and general appearance
• Answering and making clarification phone calls dedicated for pharmacists
• Counseling patients
• Offering guidance to providers regarding appropriate therapy and dosing for optimal individualized care
• Assisting with shared services under the Strive umbrella
