About The Position

Overview VtylOne is currently recruiting for a PRN Pharmacist for our TMH Pharmacy location in Tallahassee, FL. This is a unique opportunity to practice outpatient pharmacy in a model that integrates the pharmacy into the patient care transition model. The PRN Pharmacist will provide coverage for our Pharmacy Manager and staff pharmacists on a as needed basis. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
  • Minimum of 2 years of retail pharmacy experience.
  • Current licenses in good standing to practice pharmacy in the state of Florida.
  • Ability to supervise pharmacy staff in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to interact with a wide variety of individuals to successfully provide optimal patient care.
  • A passion for outstanding customer service, professionalism, and teamwork.
  • Computer experience mandatory.
  • Ability to operate various pharmacy software programs/equipment proficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews prescriptions issued by Physician, or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy and determine formulas and ingredients needed.
  • Compounds medications, using standard formulas and processes such as weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients, if applicable.
  • Answers questions and provides information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage of pharmaceuticals.
  • Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
  • Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medication, and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory.
