About The Position
This a PRN float position is base in our Palatka Medical center and will provide coverage in Palatka, Interlachen, Crescent City, Keystone Heights, Hawthorne, and Green Cove Springs.
Requirements
- Registered Pharmacist in the State of Florida
Responsibilities
- Fills prescriptions accurately and efficiently using a computerized pharmacy system.
- Follows all rules and regulations set by the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
- Assures adequate and unexpired medications are stocked, properly labeled and inventoried.
- Conducts patient education/counseling necessary for pharmacotherapy.
- Serves as preceptor for pharmacy interns.
- Maintains inventory that is both cost effective and does not inconvenience patient.
- Keeps medical staff informed and researches answers questions related to drug therapy in a timely fashion.
- Supervises existing and new pharmacy staff on an ongoing basis that includes training and education
