About The Position

This position provides pharmaceutical services, both distributive and clinical, to patients, nursing staff, and other clinical services staff of the Medical Center. This includes providing information on the safe and effective use of medications. The role requires the ability to act in and oversee all functional areas of the department and provide direction to technical staff. While not a formal supervisory role, the incumbent serves as a group leader or acts in an informal "assistant supervisory" or "lead" role, checking the quality of work and providing guidance, instruction, training, and direction to others. The employee may also provide information or suggestions on human resources matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy required
• Registered Pharmacist in Illinois
• Pharmacist applicants obtaining their initial licensure must obtain their Illinois Pharmacist Registration within 6 months of hire
• Those applicants registered in another state must obtain their Illinois Pharmacist Registration within 6 months of hire
• No experience required
