About The Position

The Clinical Pharmacist oversees the medication distribution system for their area of responsibility. In addition, the Clinical Pharmacist identifies, prevents, and resolves drug therapy problems by ensuring each medication is indicated, effective, safe, and convenient for the patient.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
  • PGY1 Pharmacy Residency preferred.
  • Pharmacist License in the State of New Jersey.

Responsibilities

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Assures the appropriateness of drug therapy and compliance with hospital policies.
  • Oversees the distribution of medications throughout TJUH.
  • Supports implementation of processes to assure the quality of Pharmacy services.
  • Trains pharmacy technicians, residents, students, interns and new pharmacists as assigned.
  • Precepts student pharmacists and residents as assigned.
