About The Position

Responsible for the procurement, storage and distribution of all drugs in accordance with the policies and regulations of local, state and federal mandates as well as accepted standards of practice. Also responsible for performing clinical consults according to pharmacy guidelines and conducting ongoing drug utilization review to promote effective, safe and efficient use of medications. Supervises technicians to optimize workflow and resource utilization. Actively participates in CQI activities.

Requirements

• Pharm. D. degree preferred.
• High level of English verbal and written skills.
• Minimum of two years' experience as a pharmacist in a hospital practice preferred.
• Experience with pharmacy computerization and supervision of technicians preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in clinical aspects of pharmacy preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Current registration and licensure in California as a pharmacist.
• BLS or ACLS required (ICH/QVH only).
• Annual 2 hours of stroke education required for those working at QVH.
