  • Responsible for the filling and dispensing of medication orders including the proper handling, usage, and storage of drugs in the pharmacy.
  • Maintains standards set by the department and translates policies and procedures into the daily operation of the pharmacy.
  • Acts as an information resource to patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy and drug-related information and literature.
  • Plans and organizes work schedule of supportive personnel and pharmacists, as required.
  • Under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator and the Pharmacy Director, optimizes patient medication therapy by providing comprehensive clinical pharmacy services.
  • Works collaboratively with the health care team to accomplish goals.
  • Assignments may include but not limited to the following specialty areas: infectious disease, oncology, cardiovascular, medication safety, and Pharmacoeconomics.
  • Minimum: Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • Preferred: Advanced degree or enrollment in advanced degree program.
  • Current Florida pharmacist license or eligible for licensure in Florida.
  • 1+ years experience as a registered pharmacist in a hospital setting.
