About The Position

Perform Drug Utilization Review and Pre-verification workflow steps while supporting clinical initiatives (e.g.: MTM, adherence programs, and other initiatives to improve patient outcomes) in a centralized, closed-door pharmacy setting. Ensure the highest quality, accuracy, and efficiency is maintained in the delivery of patient prescriptions throughout the customer experience and interaction with the host pharmacy. Direct technicians in the areas of accuracy, workflow, KHC activities. Perform and oversee the associated record keeping activities. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Pharmacist License.
  • Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks/projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • 1 year of store pharmacy experience.
  • Any mail order experience.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
  • Willingness to broaden personal knowledge and pharmacy skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Drug Utilization Review and Pre-verification workflow steps.
  • Support clinical initiatives such as MTM and adherence programs.
  • Ensure quality, accuracy, and efficiency in prescription delivery.
  • Direct technicians in accuracy, workflow, and KHC activities.
  • Oversee record keeping activities.
  • Verify prescriptions issued by prescribers for accuracy.
  • Verify new and refill medications against existing medications and patient profiles.
  • Maintain established procedures for quality assurance.
  • Communicate operational issues and suggestions to Pharmacy Supervisor and Operations Manager.
  • Participate in the orientation and training of new pharmacists and associates.
