Originate and implement best practices to ensure the safe and appropriate use of medications. Spearhead efforts to analyze and investigate medication errors from current operational, clinical and technological perspectives. Develop, maintain and report the annual performance improvement strategies for the Medication Error Reduction Plan (MERP). Work as a liaison between physicians, nurses and ancillary departments to ensure best practices for medication safety are in place. Educate pharmacy team members, and other clinicians, to promote safe medication practices. Develop educational programs to improve patient and medication safety and regulatory compliance. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required
  • 5 years of experience in operational and clinical areas of pharmacy operations required
  • RPH - Registered Pharmacist with valid State of California Pharmacist License required

Responsibilities
