About The Position
As a Pharmacist for our Long Term Care Pharmacy at CVS Health, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This part-time position, located in Herrin, Illinois, offers 25 hours of work per week, with shifts scheduled from Monday to Friday between 8 AM and 6 PM, and occasional Saturday shifts from 8:30 AM to 2 PM. There is no on-call requirement for this role, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. Your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive drug screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for various drug distribution systems to long-term care centers. You will be expected to uphold the pharmacy's goals and objectives while ensuring that the appropriate drug products reach customers efficiently and safely. In this role, you will install best-in-class strategies in pharmacy management, applying your advanced pharmaceutical knowledge to facilitate continuous improvement in quality and service. You will direct daily workflow and operations for pharmacy teams, ensuring that production quotas and deadlines are met. Your responsibilities will include auditing therapy appropriateness through drug utilization reviews, checking the accuracy of new and refill labels, and guiding compliance with government regulations. You will also mentor junior colleagues, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary techniques and processes to succeed in their roles. Your success in this position will be driven by your ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to prioritize workflow effectively.
