About The Position

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Current pharmacy licensure issued by the State of Illinois with biennial renewal.
• DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
• Minimum 5 years hospital & pharmacy informatics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Specializes in the medication process from ordering to administration.
• Designs, develops, and implements Electronic Medical Record and Clinical Decision Support systems.
• Provides clinical and business-related data to assist in operational decisions.
• Acts as a liaison to technology vendors, Information Systems, Patient Safety, Nursing, and other departments.
• Conducts and maintains training records related to pharmacy automation and technology.
• Maintains databases, formularies, billing, and reporting for the pharmacy.
• Fulfills duties of a staff pharmacist as needed, including order entry and drug utilization.
