Responsible for pharmacy operations at a site, or multiple sites, including compliance with state and federal regulations, budgeting, strategic planning, inventory control, personnel management, third party billing and customer service.

  • Responsible for all pharmacy site operations.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing the practice of pharmacy.
  • Participate in the system wide budgeting process.

  • Oversee assigned area to ensure appropriate distribution of workload and streamlined workflow.
  • Recruit/interview/hire staff.
  • Coordinate orientation of new staff, and ensure ongoing education of current staff.
  • Provide mentoring, leadership and direction to staff.
  • Maintain and monitor the productivity level of the staff to maximize efficiency, assure adequate staffing levels, and control costs; approve timecards.
  • Complete timely performance reviews of staff according to policy.
  • Partner with the regional manager and other leaders in developing regional strategic planning and integration efforts.
  • Responsible for local implementation of system wide quality assurance and customer satisfaction programs.
  • Responsible to develop and implement regional marketing efforts.
  • Serve as the local liaison between pharmacy and the community at large, payers, other professionals and other Fairview entities.
  • Execute the function of Staff Pharmacist.
  • Provide appropriate pharmaceutical care including patient counseling and prospective drug use evaluation to all patients receiving their medication therapy in the pharmacy.

  • Provide prescription drug therapy to patients/customers ensuring accurate labeling and dispensing of medications in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain proficiency in the skills and theory of the practice of pharmacy by reviewing literature, attending in-services, seminars and conferences.
  • Bachelor of Science or Pharm D in pharmacy from an accredited school.
  • 2 years experience as a practicing pharmacist.
  • 1 year management experience.
  • Working knowledge of third party pay plans, working knowledge of all state and federal regulations governing the practice of pharmacy in a community pharmacy setting.
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
  • Proficient in the English language.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage people and time effectively.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to implement policies and procedures.
  • MN Pharmacy License Upon Hire.
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross) BLS required at locations providing vaccinations.
