NuCara is currently seeking a full-time Pharmacist in Charge working 32-40 hours per week. This role provides leadership and oversight of pharmacy operations, including staff management, workflow efficiency, compliance, and patient care. The Pharmacist in Charge ensures smooth daily operations, exceptional service, and a positive team culture in a busy, community-focused pharmacy. Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited school of pharmacy required.
  • Current Iowa pharmacy license by starting date.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of community pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations and provide leadership and supervision for pharmacy technicians and support staff.
  • Perform pharmacist duties, including dispensing, patient counseling, immunizations, and other core community responsibilities.
  • Deliver and expand clinical billable services, including Medication Therapy Management (MTM), compliance packaging programs, and other enhanced patient care initiatives.
  • Utilize available technologies, including pharmacy management systems, clinical databases, and pharmacy-focused vendor platforms to optimize workflow, documentation, and patient care outcomes.
  • Maintain adherence to all regulatory standards, professional guidelines, and company policies while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
