We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist in Charge to join our team. As the Pharmacist in Charge , you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy department and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. Your expertise and leadership will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.

  • Manage and supervise the pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, technicians, and support personnel
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing the practice of pharmacy
  • Ensure accurate dispensing of medications and adherence to proper procedures while overseeing compounding and labeling processes
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and medication therapy management
  • Provide drug information to healthcare professionals and patients
  • Conduct medication utilization reviews to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Monitor patient outcomes and make recommendations for therapy adjustments as needed
  • Participate in medical management activities, including formulary management and medication utilization reviews
  • Maintain aseptic technique in sterile compounding areas
  • Provide clinical support in acute care settings such as the emergency room (ER) and intensive care unit (ICU)
  • Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology and patient service
  • Monitor medication inventory levels and order medications as needed
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree
  • Immunization License- a MUST
  • Compounding Experience - a MUST
  • Prior Authorization experience- a MUST
  • Current state pharmacist license in good standing
  • Previous experience as a licensed pharmacist
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, physiology, and drug interactions
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals and patients
  • Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical compounding and medication therapy management
  • Proficiency in medication administration, including IV infusion and pain management
  • Ability to Commute: Piscataway NJ (Required)
  • Ability to Relocate: Piscataway NJ: Relocate before starting work (Required)
