About The Position

At Jushi Holdings Inc. ”) (CSE: JUSH) (OTCQX: JUSHF), we are shaping the future of the cannabis industry, the fastest growing jobs sector in the U.S. The Pharmacist will be responsible for ensuring our patrons receive the best and highest quality consultations and guidance with regard to their medical cannabis needs. The Pharmacist In Charge is responsible for receiving, reviewing, and interpreting physician's orders, dispensing medication to patients, and working within a team of Pharmacy Technicians and operations personnel. PIC's are responsible for supervising compounding performed by pharmacy technicians to ensure that these activities are in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable state and federal law.

Requirements

Must hold an active Virginia Pharmacy license and be a registered medical professional with the Board of Pharmacy
Must be willing to submit and pass a comprehensive background check
Strong team management and personal communication skills
Ability to thrive within a fast-paced environment
Strong compliance and regulation attitude
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and focused
MS Office proficient with the ability to utilize and navigate multiple software platforms with ease
Knowledge of cannabis
Must be flexible regarding work schedule including evenings, weekends, opening and closing

Responsibilities

Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders; detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
Dispenses medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals
Controls medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions.
Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' workflow, verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
Provides pharmacological information by answering questions, and requests of health care professionals, counseling patients on drug therapies.
Develops hospital staff's pharmacological knowledge by participating in clinical programs, training pharmacy staff, students, interns, externs, residents, and health care professionals.
Complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration by monitoring nursing unit inspections; maintaining records for controlled substances; removing outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory; supervising the work results of support personnel; maintaining current registration; studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; advising management on needed actions.
Protects patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Maintains pharmacological knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
