About The Position

The Pharmacist-in-Charge will have the opportunity to apply your clinical expertise by evaluating and interpreting medication orders, compounding, and dispensing prescriptions in accordance with legal and professional standards. You will play a critical role in identifying, preventing, and resolving medication-related issues to ensure safe, effective, and individualized patient care. Through the application of evidence-based protocols, you will promote clinically sound and cost-effective drug therapy, contributing to improved patient outcomes and advancing the standard of pharmaceutical care. Pharmacy Location: Located at WellSpan Carlisle Hospital in Carlisle, PA Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8AM to 4PM About the Facility: WellSpan Carlisle Hospital is a neighborhood hospital created in partnership with Emerus, the nation’s leader in small-format hospitals. Requirements

  • ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree (PharmD preferred)
  • Active Pennsylvania state pharmacist license in good standing

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and interpret medication orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness
  • Dispense prescriptions in compliance with legal and professional standards
  • Identify, prevent, and resolve medication-related issues to promote patient safety
  • Apply evidence-based protocols to support clinically sound and cost-effective drug therapy
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize individualized patient care plans
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and uphold pharmacy operational standards
