About The Position

The Pharmacist-in-Charge manages the pharmacy staff, appropriately dispenses prescribed drugs, and serves patients with the best possible pharmaceutical care. This is a full-time opportunity located in San Antonio, TX (315 N. San Saba). The pharmacy operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. About the Role: Manage the daily operations of the pharmacy, always maintaining the highest quality of pharmaceutical services Foster business growth and control expenses for the pharmacy Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the practice of pharmacy Properly dispense, order, and maintain proper inventory of drugs and supplies Collaborate with physicians to discuss potential incompatibility issues with patient prescriptions Direct and perform pharmacy activities and manage workflow efficiency Keep abreast of changing laws, regulations, and new pharmacy-related programs Consult with clinic providers, administrators, and other personnel as appropriate to provide quality patient care and efficient operations Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA Uphold a clean, customer-friendly workplace, and always project a positive attitude Maintain a high level of professionalism consistent with company standards, including dress, personal appearance, and grooming Perform other related duties as assigned Perform in accordance with company policies and standards Embrace and perform in the spirit of the company’s core values and goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Doctoral (PharmD) degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university
  • Pharmacist license in good standing in the State of Texas
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer-service, managerial, and communication skills
  • Proactive self-starter with high degree of initiative and strong follow-up skills
  • Able to efficiently mentor, motivate, and manage pharmacy staff while fostering positive customer relations
  • Available to work full-time Monday through Friday: 9:00am-5:00pm

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of full-time retail or clinic pharmacy experience preferred
  • Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) experience preferred
  • 340B experience preferred
  • AAHIVP certification preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
