About The Position

Work as a Clinical Pharmacist in member care. Maintains knowledge of and assures departmental compliance with Kaiser Permanentes Principles of Responsibility and policies and procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year experience directing workflow in a professional environment.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience directing pharmacy regulatory/compliance activities.
  • Experience working with Regulatory agencies including DEA, SBOP, CMS, FDA.
  • Experience with Compliance audits and remediation.
  • Experience resolving compliance/regulatory discrepancies.
  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D.
  • Pharmacist License (Colorado).

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all Kaiser Permanente quality, safety, and emergency policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice in every interaction with patients, colleagues, providers, and leadership.
  • Ensure patient safety in the preparation and provisioning of care related to medications, procedures, infection prevention, and fall prevention.
  • Report safety hazards, accidents and incidents, and unsafe working conditions promptly.
  • Responsible for the daily operations of the pharmacy without personnel responsibilities.
  • Direct work flow and employees to meet department metrics and service standards.
  • Act as the pharmacist in charge for the pharmacy outlet with responsibility for corresponding regulatory and compliance responsibilities.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly compliance audits for DEA, State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Adhere to KP Pharmacy Policy.
  • Work with Regulatory agencies including DEA, SBOP, CMS, FDA for compliance audits and remediation.
  • Resolve compliance and regulatory discrepancies.
  • Manage pharmacy workflow by directing and scheduling employees to meet service metrics.
  • Guide team members in their roles and provide feedback.
  • Address member concerns and support team members in triaging member complaints and gaps in service.
  • Support and facilitate other leaders and health care providers in the medical office building and Regional Pharmacy leaders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
