Pharmacist I - Varied - Float Pool Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: BS Pharmacy or Pharm.D. Degree Required Certification/Registration: California Pharmacist License AHA BLS for the health care provider and ACLS certifications required prior to being trained to respond to codes. Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: PGY1 residency or 3 years' experience in relevant practice area. This is a full time position with variable shifts. This position will float between sites (all hospital sites have 10-hour shifts). Includes $4,000 retention incentive and $3,000 relocation assistance to eligible new hires. As a member of the float team, you can fill vital roles on assignments throughout the system to provide critical coverage (inpatient and ambulatory) for employee’s leave of absences, sick calls, and peak service demands while gaining experience in a variety of environments. Join our Scripps SSRS team as a Clinical Pharmacist with the opportunity to learn from resources across all of our sites. To be successful, the Clinical Pharmacist will be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and will be knowledgeable with inpatient care. Responsibilities include: Primarily operation focused centrally based; participates in direct patient care as clinical competencies are approved and on approved shifts. Documents the care provided to patients. Supervises the drug distribution operation: responsible for assuring safe and effective alternatives as appropriate. Routinely communicates with physicians, nurses and patients regarding drug therapy. Contributes to the accomplishment of initiatives to improve the cost-effectiveness of drug therapy. Demonstrates ability to provide age-specific patient care as established for area and job title. Demonstrates ability to perform competencies and perform activities as outlined in Pharmacist Authorities policy. Works variable shifts, including weekends, evenings, and overnights as staffing needs require. Please note that being able to work the night shift is a fundamental duty and an essential function of many of the clinical pharmacy positions. The following are not eligible for hiring incentives: Internal candidates Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago Candidates with less than 1 year of experience In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met: Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter) Must remain in original department/specialty Must remain in original Job Title Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Requirements

  • BS Pharmacy or Pharm.D. Degree
