About The Position

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: BS Pharmacy or Pharm.D. Degree:. Required Certification/Registration: California Pharmacist License AHA BLS for the health care provider and ACLS certifications required prior to being trained to respond to codes. Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification: PGY1 residency or 3 years' experience in relevant practice area. This is a full time position with varied shifts. This position will float between sites (all hospital sites have 10-hour shifts). Includes $4,000 retention incentive and $3,000 relocation assistance to eligible new hires. Requirements

  • BS Pharmacy or Pharm.D. Degree\:.

Responsibilities

  • Primarily operation focused centrally based; participates in direct patient care as clinical competencies are approved and on approved shifts.
  • Documents the care provided to patients.
  • Supervises the drug distribution operation\: responsible for assuring safe and effective alternatives as appropriate.
  • Routinely communicates with physicians, nurses and patients regarding drug therapy.
  • Contributes to the accomplishment of initiatives to improve the cost-effectiveness of drug therapy.
  • Demonstrates ability to provide age-specific patient care as established for area and job title.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform competencies and perform activities as outlined in Pharmacist Authorities policy.
