About The Position

As a Floating Pharmacist at Publix, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional pharmacy services in a patient-centric environment. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be a graduate of a school of pharmacy.
• Must have and maintain an unrestricted, state pharmacist license.
• Must not have active suspensions, sanctions, or other restrictions related to participation in a health insurance program.
• Must not have received an unacceptable result on a company-sponsored drug test within the last three years.

Nice To Haves

• Be an immunizing pharmacist or scheduled to become one in the next training classes.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interpret and understand instructions and solve problems.
• Numerical and financial aptitude.
• Knowledge of retail merchandising and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Execute strategy and motivate staff as the pharmacist-on-duty.
• Set priorities to maximize contributions and support the team.
• Provide best-in-class pharmacy service to patients and empower staff through counseling.
• Inspire teams to do the right thing and gain buy-in for initiatives.
• Manage team performance and ensure timely operational activities in the absence of the pharmacist-in-charge.
• Make sound business decisions while covering as the pharmacist-on-duty.
• Mentor others on pharmacy best practices to maximize sales and minimize shrink.
• Advance pharmacy clinical initiatives including Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and immunizations.
• Maintain a flexible work-week schedule to meet customer needs.
• Assist in all other duties as assigned.
